My name is Marcin Banaszek, I’m 32 years of age and I’m a native of Poland. Saying that I’ve been living in Dublin, Ireland for the last 5 years and I am a fluent English speaker.
Since my earliest childhood, in Olsztyn (eastern Poland), I have been influenced by the beauty of my surroundings – no more so than by the stunning Lakeland scenery that dominates this area. In fact, I got my first camera when I was 10 and have been snapping ever since. My first digital camera I got 8 years ago and my first professional DSLR camera 4 years ago. In more recent times, I bought few professional lenses - 2 best are Canon 17-40mm f/4 L and 70-200mm f/2.8 L (this one is the legend!). I spend fortune on new toys and my wife hates me for that.
Oh, I have to say (or she’ll kill me) my lovely wife is often the model on my photos!
I have always been passionate about all things artistic and started drawing at an early age. Web design and photography really have many things in common; both concerned with the visual medium and are a powerful means to portray a message or mood. I’ve been a Web Designer for 10 years and this helps me with my photographic career a lot, mainly because both disciplines use similar software and I work with photos and imagery everyday!
